FREE PREVIEW - Oh, Creator please let this not be true! Lucia thought that she couldn’t possibly be pregnant! She was only with Scottie and it only happened one time. She started remembering her health class and what her teacher had taught them that it only took one time. How could she be pregnant when she was not even responsible enough to even raise herself. How was she supposed to bring a child into the world when she still had problems with even keeping her room tidy? Lucia started feeling nausea overcome her and ran to the bathroom just in the knick of time. With a few attempts, she composed herself and knew she had to find out for sure… Lucia took a short cut and went to the local convenience store. She made sure that she didn’t know the cashier before picking up her item and holding it close to her. She quickly grabbed one box from the dusty shelf. She had absolutely no idea which brand, but her choice was based on the pretty lavender flowers on its box and she knew that her method of choosing it sounded ridiculous. After rushing to the register, Lucia felt her heart skip a beat. She decided to take her package to clerk number two… When the cashier looked down at her and shook his head, she grabbed her change and dropped some coins; then she mumbled a polite thank you and speed walked through the revolving door. In her haste, she nearly knocked over Ms. Martin. “Honey, where’s the fire?” said Mrs. Martin. Lucia’s face turned hundreds of varying shades of red. When she tried to speak, she could tell by Ms. Martin’s expression that Lucia was speaking incoherent. Lucia only hoped and prayed that at the very least, her last words to be heard by Mrs. Martin would be that she was sorry… After waiting the appropriate time, she hesitated then went to see the results. Lucia had a sickening feeling and slid to the floor, just as a leaf would gracefully float to the ground on a breezy day. Silent tears uncontrollably streamed down her eyes. The test confirmed her worst fears. She was indeed pregnant. She was now a statistic a baby having a baby! FREE PREVIEW
